How to Copy/Transfer iPod Music to Computer/Windows/Mac

I want to transfer iPod music from to mac,because iPod memory is not enought to use,whether I need a tool to help me to transfer music from iPod to my mac, because apple devices is not allowed to direct transfer music from ipod to mac,whether you have a good advice?Please help me!!!
