My first time here. Hope someone can help.
This Laptop has a broken hinge. (Covered by Warranty) Called Squaretrade, they will send box etc.
Problem is, they said there is always the possibility in their servicing that the HD may have to be wiped clean during their process.
After requesting a US person I was told that probably would not/should not happen.
I have an external HD. Is there a way to duplicate my HD on it in case they do wipe mine clean. Can I copy the entire HD and then reset this computer to the way it is now? If so, how do you go about it? Some programs are not replaceable as I don't have the means to reinstall them.
