how to copy dvds

Dec 4, 2004 7:14AM PST

I've been told the only safe program to copy protected dvds is called Clone, and no longer available for purchase. I found software called DVD Cloner II on the web, and also a program called CLONEDVD2 on ebay. Does anyone know if these are safe and effective programs? I just bought a new coputer because Kazaa killed my old one so I don't want to take any chances. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

I use two methods to copy my home movie DVDs.

One is K3b on my Linux box. For Windows, it's Nero or DVDSHRINK depending on the effect I need.

Sadly, I can't offer much discussion about this tools except they are very nice to use.
