Since teh DVD stopped working. And the new doesn't work.

I can't guess what the old and new DVD player models are so I can't compare old and new to see why it stopped.

Also, since we don't have the NEW DVD MODEL NUMBER there is a good chance that any guess will be a bad one.

Finally, you should reveal what this CD format/content is.

Hello and thank you.
Old DVD was very good was paying all files/ formats regardless if CD, VCD , SVCD and DVD's regardless from what continet, country .
New is working good but will not recognize VCD? Format is MEG2 Video that is what is showing when I check properties.
What can I do if any thing to watch these old VCD on the New DVD Machine ?

Without the new DVD make and model, any advice could be wrong. Which is why I must ask.

What is the new DVD player's make and model?

If the new DVD-player doesn't have VCD support (and it seems it doesn't, although I didn't check the specs) try using DVD Flick (free from to convert and burn that Mpeg2 video to a regular DVD. Success not guaranteed, but certainly worth a try.

converting motion VCD to DVD

Sounds like a dilemma. Good thing it's easily fixed.

Something like AVS4you is one a friend of mine uses all of the time to convert his video files.
I use Pinnacle & Dvd next, myself & have for years.

There are many programs which can do this, from the disc. You just need
to search "convert vcd to dvd", if your original program doesn't do this.
Cnet has a few great offerings in the download area. Keep in mind that any free programs aren't going to be the greatest (conversion is a great market), & the trials probably won't let you save.

But I gave you three to work with. Avs is a pretty easy one I hear, & doesn't require much more than knowing where the disc is & where you want the conversion to go.

I hope this helps, good luck.
