All the Samsungs I know of turn off the TV speakers when we enable optical or wireless. This is by design since those other audio connections can get lag and folk then complain about that. Try one of those optical to analog adapters then split that to a sound bar and your wireless transmitter.
I want to connect IR wireless headphones to the TV. There is no headphone jack. It does have a audio out/optical port that is active.
I know I can link bluetooth wireless headphones to the TV but when I do I lose the TV set sound. There are also USB ports but I don't know if this will access sound or are just there for power.
I was thinking about connecting this device:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KCRYIWM/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A19R3BN6ZSO9A1
to the audio out/optical cable and then attaching the headphone base unit to the headphone or RCA Red White ports/connectors.
Will this work? Any other suggestions are appreciated.
