Question

How to Connect these pc fans?

Apr 14, 2018 9:35AM PDT

Hello I have two pc fan connection styles but no adapters to connect them to my power supply.

Does anyone know what they are called or what style of plug in I should be looking for?

Here are links to the connector types.

Thank you for taking a look!

You supplied just a part of the needed information. This may be an old SGI computer I saw years ago or something else.

Again, the connection does not tell you where it goes or its use. For that we need to know what products these came from and read that manual to the connectors use.

The connector in the linked pic looks like a standard Molex. You buy an adapter or extender that includes the opposite gender of the one you have. Observing pin position and paying attention to polarity, you lop off the connectors that don't fit and cut/splice those that do. You can use shrink tubing over the splice to make it look neater. Easy as pie so give it a try.
