Question

How to connect Sony Wireless Headphones to Samsung TV

Apr 12, 2015 11:33PM PDT

I haven't been able to correctly connect the Sony Wireless headphones to my Samsung TV since I got rid of my cable box.

I have connected the headphones red/white jacks directly to the TV to the audio in, but don't hear anything thru the headphones. I read elsewhere that I need to turn off the speakers on the TV, but have been unable to find that setting.

The TV is Samsung Model: UN55FH6003F

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Answer
The red white jacks on that model are inputs. You need output

http://www.samsung.com/us/video/tvs/UN55FH6003FXZA-specs does not list any audio output (except the built in speakers.)

This set would be the wrong model to work with headphones so either exchange it or talk to a better electronics tech to add a headphone jack. Come on folk, it's 3 wires! Not a challenge to electronic techs.

Hello,
Bob is correct, this TV does not have a headphone jack or audio outputs. This means that you will not be able to connect headphones directly to TV. However, you may be able to connect your headphones directly to your external device. Please contact your external devices manufacturer for further assistance. I'm unsure of how you had it working before as there are inputs on the back of the television, but no outputs.
