So I had the HD Writer AE 2.1 on a Windows Vista 32 bit Laptop, but it started to die on me, so I backed up HD Writer on an external HDD. I can't find the disc, and I think this version won't work for my Windows 7 64 bit PC anyway. I realized that I could just plug the camera into my PC and transfer files over and put them into another editing program. Problem is, these videos were recorded at 59 fps and are around 1-3 GB. I know there is a way to compress these files that are unknown to me. I do not have a editing program yet (unless there is a way to get a new HD Writer or what not), so would that be a feature in that program? Also, the camcorder in question is a 'Panasonic HDC-TM700'.
Thanks in advance for any help.
