how to close website program

Nov 30, 2017 5:13AM PST

I have a website in Adobe Dreamweaver which remains open no matter what I do. I cannot close it or exit the program and have shut the computer down several times but it is always there when I click on Google Chrome.
How can I close the site?

What program can't you exit by clicking on the red cross in upper right corner in the window? And if it's on a tab, can't you close the tab? That's annoying indeed.
How do you "close" a website? I never close a website explicitely. I just go to another website in my browser windows or tab.

Maybe it's set as home page in Google Chrome? Then choose another home page in the settings.

While I think there's a procedural issue here.

There's Task Manager and ending an app/program there.
