How to close a Facebook?

Dec 3, 2007 6:53AM PST

Hello everyone,

I got a Facebook a while ago and found very little use for it, but in the recent days of articles left, right and center about how bad Facebook is for privacy and all that, I've decided to cancel my account rather than just not use it. I ran into troubles in the closing thing. It simply gives you the option of de-activating your account, rather than closing and deleting it. I de-activated it, but I would love to find out if there is a way to fully close it, delete it fully.

Thank-you very much,

Matt Segstro

I'm not a Facebook user myself, but found it interesting there is no easy way to completely terminate an account. Deactivating your account should be sufficient in most cases as it completely removes its existence from view, you you should be able to contact info@facebook.com and have them permanently delete the account.

Hope this helps,
John

Buying Facebook fans and deleting a Facebook account are two different things.

Your post is not relevant to this thread, and that is why I deleted it.
