How to choose a new Mainboard Samsung LCD TV?

I have determined that the issues I am having with my Samsung TV are caused by my main board. Now I need to determine how to replace it. There appears to be many different options for the same board, or at least there are many different part number to reference the same board. So, my question is: how do I distinguish between the incorrect board and the correct board?

The part numbers I have are:
Printed directly on the board: BN41-00975B
Printed on a sticker attached to the board: BN96-08991A and BN97-02742C (Same sticker has both)
And on the Digital Cable assembly box: BN94-01723Q

I have found many different parts that have one of the numbers, but never all of them. Also, when I looked them up separately, they all show for the same TV, but are listed as different products with significantly different prices.

Also, I called Samsung and received little help and no information that led to the resolution of this problem (surprise, surprise).

Any help would be greatly appreciate.

Just wanted to let you know you are not the only one confused by all the part numbers for the tv. I'm looking for a main board too and have seen so many conflicting things on the internet about part numbers. Just opened the back of my tv and it is still confusing. Good luck in your search. Don't expect any answer on here. Especially from the Samsung rep. I've posted 3 times about issues I've had with my TV and have had no help. Not even a reply.

I think the lesson here is to not buy Samsung. Whats the point of having a tv with a great picture (which it does) if it breaks in 2 years! I'd rather have slightly worse picture and a tv that doesn't break. Just can't afford a $3000 tv every 2 years.

Your first question to me was regarding an accusation that I have no clue what happened, and therefore didn't have an answer.

As far as parts go, if you want to get part numbers, I might suggest ordering the service manual from the website for your particular model. I have no way of knowing or determining which part number is right for your particular set, and cannot assist.

If I were to suggest someone purchase a part, and it turns out to be the wrong part, then I'm liable, accused, abused and threatened. Unfortunately, several people before you have abused my goodwill attempts in the past, and the trouble it causes isn't something I have time to defend anymore. I always recommend contacting the Samsung customer service center for repair issues. For those who want to fix it themselves, there certainly free to. However they have to do it with their technical knowhow.

You did deserve a response in the other thread, and I'm sorry I missed that opportunity.

wow your response to a common question was soooooo. helpful , it was so helpful in fact it just shows how unhelpful CNET is. Thank you for helping me make the decision to cancel my profile. Hopefully you dont have to spend even 1 second defending yourself and/or doing your job as a "TECH"? helping people who ask for specific advise.
