Question

How to change your system voice for specific apps on Mac

Mar 17, 2012 3:59AM PDT

Hi, i've been trying to change the system voice from Alex (American voice) to Daniel (British Voice) for the VOIP App Skype. I've had him for quite a while telling me the time but Alex has always stuck for skype. But at last I have found a solution. Here is how I did it: first I search "voice utility" in spotlight (cmd + space), then i tick "Allow VoiceOver to be controlled with AppleScript" (not sure if this is needed but I did it anyway), then i go to the speech catergory and change all the options to daniel, then under activities add a new activity check voices and set it to Daniel and then select skype in select apps. Now after I restarted skype the voice changed Happy.
