How to Change Windows Explorer Defaults

Jul 20, 2004 4:49AM PDT

Is there a way to change the default in Windows Explorer to start with the full My Computer (all drives visible) view instead of opening in My Documents?
Thanks, Dan

As an alternative, and something that works on all flavors of Windows since Win95,
is the Win-E keystroke.

Just press and hold the Windows key (the one with the "flag" or the word "Start" on it, then press the "E" key. Release all.

That will open up Windows Explorer, with a 2-pane view, and the "My Computer" will be selected.
