How to change status-bar font on IE8?

Jul 22, 2010 9:55PM PDT

I see some unusual font style on IE8 status-bar running under Windows 7. Can someone please tell me what settings would allow me to change this font style?

Thanks.

IE8 Toolbar font problems
Jul 23, 2010 6:45AM PDT

Are you referring to the IE8 toolbar? You can change the text and fonts in the IE 8 tools bars and I am going to give you the steps. Just be aware that changing these settings will change the menu fonts and text size for every program. There is no way to just adjust these settings in IE 8 only. To make the changes go to the Control Panel, then Appearance and Personalization, click Personalization, then click Windows Colors and Appearance. In the Appearance Settings window click on the Advanced button. Open the drop down menu under Item and select Menu. You can choose the font, font size, and color that best suits you. Click ok and then click Apply. It is normal for the monitor to briefly go ?black and white? while the settings are being changed.

I hope this helps!

Hi Bret,

Thanks for your response, but I want to change the font style on the "STATUS BAR", not toolbars.

Not even close...

This changes the fonts and settings for Windows Explorer, but NOT Internet Explorer 8!
What's the real answer?

Sorry

But this is not a step by step. The status bar here on IE8 is just the font in step 4 at http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1175-fonts-change.html

It's a little buried and I decline to write exactly which element it is at step 4 but that's where I change fonts for the status bar.

Good hunting,
Bob
