Bookmark for what use?
And what 'javascript bookmark plugin' did you try?

I need a bookmark so I can know which page I stopped when I read an E-book. It's called bookmark_page.js. It lets me bookmark a page and it go to that page automatically, it's in the 'view' of AR. But it stopped working and gave me a internal error message.

I never tried, but it seems that Foxit reader (free from www.foxitsoftware.com) supports bookmarks without add-ons. Seems a good work-around to me.

Thx kees_b, but the bookmark function in this software isn't what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a plugin/add-on that lets me bookmark any page and then goes to that page automatically.

All you can do:
1.Uninstall Adobe Reader
2. Uninstall that script
3. Reinstall Adobe Reader
4. Reinstall that script
5. If it still doesn't work, try it in another (new!) user account.
6. If it still doesn't work, try older versions of Reader and script that used to work with you.
7. If it still doesn't work, try to go back to factory settings of your PC ('system recovery'). Then those old versions should work as they always did. Then gradually go ahead in time until you find what broke it.

But weirdly, it works when the pdf file is secured, but it doesn't work when it's normal.
