How to block incoming calls and messages from scammers?

I am receiving text messages with spam at 2.30 am for the last week from +12083129777. On this site, I learned that it's scammers, how I can block incoming calls and messages from them?

Re: block incoming calls and messages

You have to do it either on the phone (check the user manual) or with your provider (check their site or ask their customer service).

I have a few ways.

1. My carrier lets me have a block list. It's only 30 entries so that's short.
2. My phone also has an option to not accept a call from a number. I feel more work is needed in that area but once the call comes in, I can go to the call log and select the number, use the menu to block the call on the phone.

Item 2 is very non-standard and varies with the phone.

Block unwanted incoming calls.

Hey, to block unwanted incoming call on your number you should check the settings of your phone. Many of the smartphones nowadays have this feature. If you don't have either install an APP to do that work for your phone from Play Store.
