How to backup a removable hard drive.

Dec 17, 2010 5:56AM PST

I use an external, removable hard drive both as my Time Machine and for "extra storage." I would like to back up my external removable hard drive using an online storage company like Mozy or Carbonite, but am not having much luck in finding one who will backup this type of drive.

Does anyone use a backup service for something like this?

Thanks!
Brandon.

Carbon Copy Cloner (bombich) ... It do a mirror of your hard drive "CCC can clone one volume to another, copying every file to create an exact replica of your source volume"

CCC (at least older versions) would not copy all file attributes. Besides, even SuperDuper! would leave some temp files uncopied, which is admissible practice as per Apple. But generally speaking, both apps are considered the best in backup.
