Are the usual titles folk try.
So I'll only add what's not there.
Google this and remember you elected to not backup so nothing is new here. That is, hard drive contents are going to go away. It's not a matter of if but when. I fear many will learn this firsthand. Some will argue this fact.
OK google CLONZILLA BAD SECTORS. I only have your story to work with and maybe I guessed wrong but it sounds as if it sort of works.

Alright,
So I live in India and I bought this Seagate GoFlex Satellite from the US and now it seems to be experiencing problems.
First of all, the Hard Disk did not suffer a fall or did not take a swim.
I went to the warranty centre in New Delhi. Turns out there isn't a Seagate office, just a collaboration with another company. And they said they can fix it but I will end up losing ALL MY DATA ! That's 375 GB ! My heart and soul went into collecting movies (legal), music and what not!
Then they said that I should contact the company directly and through email and they said I can get a backup done without fear of voiding my warranty.
The problem lies here:-
If I go to a shop and get 375 GB worth of data recovered, its going to cost me at least $100. And all for what? Backing up my backup? Which I presumed would be safe since Seagate has a reputation of producing good products?
I am asking you guys if you know any way to back-up my faulty hard drive myself. I am fairly good at handling computers and my friend had a 1TB HDD to help me out.
Thanks,
Sam Nani
