How to attach a HD to my cars stereo's iPod connector???

I have a car stereo that doesn't have a USB jack but it does have an iPod connector dock. Is there an adapter that allows me to pop in my portable USB Hard Drive onto the iPod dock?

Or can I buy a used iPod and rip out the little Hard Drive and put in my own HD?

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

It's not as easy as you might think.

Hard. Go get a collection of parts such as

USB HD ADAPTER http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=NCK1060&cat=MP3
Dead IPOD from anywhere.
USB HD CASE such as found on newegg.com, geeks.com etc.

Now dig up electronics wiring to get the audio over to that extracted ipod recycled device.

-> Why not just a refurb iPod like http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=PE435AR&cat=MP3 for 99 bucks. The larger 40GB was spotted earlier for 109. I'm sure some what 100's of GB in their car but what to do with those?
