Resolved Question

How to alter The frame of the photo booth.

Oct 25, 2011 8:07PM PDT

I have a Macbook 2,1 , white 13" . some six years old, O.S 10.4.10
The photo booth frame when I open the photo booth, has become too big i.e. deep. It's bottom end covers the icons on the Dock.
I would like it to be as it was so that I may be able to see the list of photos I have taken and other controls. At the moment all these are on the dock and not where these should be.
Please help.
Thank you.

more information.

I can move it horizontally and downwards but the bottom end which is on top of the Dock remains there, Unless the bottom edge of the window is moved up above the Dock I can not use the PhotoBooth.
I hope it gives some more information.

Left click is a normal Click on the track pad

right click can be done by holding down the Control key and then clicking as normal.

try this:

In System preferences, Dock, choose Put the dock on the left (or words to that effect)

Now launch PhotoBooth and see if you can move the bottom of the window now

we are going to delete the Photobooth preferences and/or the Finder preferences

Where we are!

Thank you for your kindness and patience.
i.The first suggestion of moving the Dock to the left, strategy did not work. The lower end of the photo booth window was bellow the dock.
It only showed just top half of the photos taken by the device. So it was not possible to get to the bottom right hand corner of the window to change the size.
ii. I could not find the PhotoBooth preferences, I deleted all the photos from the Photo Booth. There was no difference ,the window size remained at the same location.

Well that was a little premature,

The Photobooth preferences are in your home folder, Library, Preferences and are called com.apple.PhotoBooth.plist

photo booth window!

Worked so far as to load the photo Booth back. There was no entry of the photobooth.plist in the preferences at all.
The photo booth works as it did with the same size window as it was.
I hope there is something I can do with it!
Grateful to you for your help.

Quit PhotoBooth
go to your Home folder,<div>Library
Preferences
and find
com.apple.PhotoBooth.plist.lockfile
and
com.apple.PhotoBooth.plist

followed your guidance.

I went into preferences as before there is no item listed as "com.apple.photobooth.plist". So encouraged by your advice I put this line in the search.
I found it . But no amount of searching turned up with the other preference. I searched the 'computer', 'Home', Folder "preferences", and other...,
There was no sign of the "com.apple.photobooth.plist.lockfile" at all.
