How to Alter/Change View of Files in Docs Fldr??

Feb 16, 2008 2:50PM PST

New to Vista (home basic). My usual habit is to save items to My Documents folder rather than Desktop.

On this Acer laptop when I open Docs folder, the folder icons inside are so large that only 6 are displayed in view without scrolling down.
Is there a easy setting change I can apply to this folder 'only' to reduce sizes to say 1/2 inch X 1/2 inch or similar? Thanks in Adv.!! Grin Sandy (note: Not mine, Landlady's.)

Just beneath the forward/back buttons and address bar you should see the button Views...you can click that to cycle through them or click the arrow to the right to select from the list. By default such settings only apply to the current folder, though you can make them global if you wish by going Customize->Folder and Search Options->View->Apply to all Folder.

Hope this helps,
John
