How to adjust screen size while using HDMI?

When I connect my computer (hdmi-out) to my 52 inch Toshiba HDTV (hdmi-in), the computer screen appears bigger than TV screen size.

For example, I can't see the bottom task bar on screen. Same is true for top, left, right parts of screen.

How to auto/manually adjust screen size while using HDMI?
