A company called Breeze Systems sells software that can control a long list of Canon cameras through its USB cable.
They do not show the S200 on their list, but they do show the S230 which replaced the S200 and was released 6 months after the S200.
You can download a trial copy of the program and see if it will work with your camera.

As far as repairs. Camera repairs usually cost well over $100. You might want to look at new cameras.

Hello,
My 3 year old Canon PowerShot S200 Digital Elph has an LCD Display that was recently broken - a crack on the side of the screen prevents me from viewing anything via the LCD screen.
While the camera still takes pictures, the broken LCD screen prevents me from seeing any changes I make to the camera's settings (e.g. Black and White, Image Size). Is there a way to access these controls w/out the LCD Display? Perhaps via the digital A/V output?
Along the same lines, would it be worth it to get the screen fixed?
