What make of HD Camera do you have?

mts is usually associated with AVCHD which your Mac should be able to import directly from the camera into iMovie without any further effort from you.

How did you get the file onto your Mac?

Do you have any still pictures on your camera HD?
If you do, save them somewhere and then delete them. On the Sony camera, import does not work if there are still pictures on the disk.

I couldn't import directly cos I didn't have the device... I lent it to somebody else, and now I've only had this stupid file....
Anyway guys, I googled these days and found lots of video converters. someone recommend me aimersoft, and I've never heard about it.. Does anyone know it? How does it work?.. seems it has a pretty big market though..
Thanks~

My Recommendation

Hello lescieyq,

My JVC HD Cam, which output video format is also mts HD video, I am using Mac video converter software - iFunia, it is good to convert mts to other formats.

The problem here is iFunia is spammed a lot too.

Any of the titles that we get spammed in the forums are usually less than ideal.

Just look at your forum name. Only the iFunia spammer would be so bold.

I have files that are on my P.C. Computer and I want to use them on iMovie on my iMAC. The format of the video files I have are .MTS files which are the raw HD files from my JVC video camera. Convert them to MPEG, works well.
