How Sharing of folder on Win XP be disabled for all users

Aug 9, 2007 6:04PM PDT

Hi!
I want to disable Sharing Of Flders option for all users except system administrator. So only system administrator can allow sharing of folders on a system. I am using Win XP Pro version 2002 , SP2.

Thanks in advance

You could use policies or easier ...

(if you are unfamiliar with policies although policies would be preferred) would be to simply alter permissions on directories you don't want shared so the users are unable to make changes.

Do be aware BEFORE you start any such actions that if you are not paying attention you can lock yourself and everyone else including the system out of directories they need to access and the system can come to a screetching halt (system is quiet as normal but users and admin are screetching).
