I got a "MP5 Player" from a MP5 Player Wholesale website. Totally they call the gadget MP5 Player, buy why? Its no more than a MP4 Player.

Up the number to make the consumers think there is something new. For most they won't get too badly burned. Ever wonder why Sandisk, Apple and the names don't use MP4/5/6/7/8 in their advertising?
Not all the marketing.
Ipod has there Nano/shuffle/1/2/3... styles, so Media Players also have there tech updating. only because normal Players dont have there brands, they use mp4/5/6/7/8, I think MP9 will appear within not more times.
By the way, those "blank brands" mp players almost made in China, such as so much "MP5 Players"

it are the specs that matter. If you want to play mp4 search for something that can play .mp4. Just check the specs before you buy it. And maybe better buy in a reputable retail shop than with some unknown Chinese wholesaler.

dear colleague, beside photos, those reputable retail shops do not provide videos added about how to use the MP5 Player. I usually look through Youtube Videos to find out some visual players, and I think it is real.

They reply that, indeed China's MP4 Player are not good than IPOD in technically, IPOD is perfect.
And in China, MP3 Player with 2.8" screen, with camera, and have DV function, it named MP5 Player. In Brazil, its name is MP5 Player either.

Mp5 Is really just the name of the company, so they call it an Mp5 Player. The only selling point of it(which is pretty significant) is Mp5's claim that Mp5 players don't need conversion software and you cant very easily put things like youtube videos on them, regardless of Wifi like on the ipod.
