Question

How open content corrupt illustrator file?

by morgangrant12 / June 20, 2015 4:55 AM PDT

I know what the answer will probably be to this. But as I was saving something in photoshop, I went to save something in illustrator that I had traced from an image I had just dragged from the net and it crashed on me and ive just lost two hours of work. I know theres obviously a lesson to be learnt here and save regualarly but.... I'm sure its happened to all of us. But anyway... is there by any chance a temporary saved file illustrator mite have made or something? I know when indesign crashed on me before it recovered my work.

This has been asked many times before.

I don't see any newer answers to this. You use your last good copy or get back with Adobe to see how much it will cost for them to work over your file.

Again, not much has changed to this old question. As to the temp file, same answer but no one seems to note there is such a file unless we saved it along the way.

You may find yourself in luck, though. Look for a file ending .tmp in the folder where your file is saved. If not there, it may be in the trash in a folder called “Recovered files”. Also try AI Viewer Tool from http://www.ai.viewertool.com/

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
