How much RAM can i install?

by Big DB / November 8, 2009 12:21 AM PST

My computer was bought in about 2004 and only has 512MB of RAM. it has 2 ports for RAM sticks, but im not sure what size to put in to make it faster. It's a HP725n with a 80GB HDD, and 2 256MB RAM sticks. Also, its running XP home. I'm not sure on the motherboard type, but can anyone make a suggestion based on the age and type of cpu?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
