How much ram?

by geoffrey0710 / September 6, 2008 7:54 PM PDT

At present I have 256 meg of DDR ram running at 400 mgz. (Note, graphics takes 64 meg so have only 191meg available.) System is therefore slow so I would like to increase ram to 1g. The cpu is a celeron R 2.93ghz. Will this support 1g of ram or will I be wasting my money and be better off purchasing 512meg?

OS. If you provide same ...perhaps we can help.

Generally...your machine will run a lot better with 1GB RAM vice 256MBs RAM. Question is your system dual channel architecture or not ? Knowing that will help determine the best way to add RAM.
