How long after being manufactured does it take for a laptop to go on sale? does it lay around in a warehouse for some period? what does the process look like?

That's an interplay between the manufacturer and the different shops. It depends on the number still in stock when a new and better model is introduced, and that might even be different for different shops.

Apple tends to lower the suggested retail price of an iPhone when they introduce a new model, not earlier. TV's, in general, get cheaper the few months before new models are introduced.

I'm afraid it's one of the secrets of the trade how to do it. Maybe go and study marketing?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
