HOW I FIXED WINDOWS 7 ONLY BOOTING IN SAFE MODE

Sep 17, 2018 8:41PM PDT

I was using my computer and running a Youtube video and the computer froze on me for 10 to 20 seconds then shut itself off. For the next 11 days it would only work in Safe Mode or Safe Mode With networking.

Then I read an article in this forum about uninstalling the display drivers using DEVICE MANAGER (i didn't delete ONLY uninstalled), then RESTARTED IN NORMAL MODE AND IT WORKED!

So try to uninstall the display drivers (Mine were AMD Radeon HD 6490M and Mobile Intel(R) HD Graphics ) if you run into the same problems! Just note I didn't DELETE the drivers as that option comes up as an additional "check" box..I didn't check the box.

Now that i'm working again I will figure out how to re-install my display drivers, etc..but that's the least of my worries now...whew!
