How HOT is it ?

May 22, 2006 11:02AM PDT

Have a thermometer outside so I can see it from the office window. Took a look at 6 PM, Monday, May 22.

That's the result of the sun reflecting off the white stucco wall.

So took a look at my old dependable, and this is the real stuff.

Howzit where you are ?

This noon in the sun it was 60. Suppose to maybe have a frost tonite. I hope we don't have to plow the road for the Memorial day parade. Grin One year it was so cold I had ear muffs on. Could'nt hear the band. Sad

with all these women using hair spray all these years, it open up the hole in the ozone layer causing all this weird weather.(Global Warming or such) No, Yes, Maybe. Don't laugh, I'm not a scientist or ecology professor. Just a lil ole farm boy concerned about the price of oil and why my furnace is still running. Grin

...they're predicting a high of 72 today. If that happens, it'll be the first day this month where we've reached our seasonal average. The other 22 days have been 5 - 15 degrees below normal with so much rain that I thought that on the 28th we'd have to settle for the Indianapolis 500 Mile Yacht Race. Devil

It has been in high 80s low 90s here in mid-state. But low humidity and no monsoon yet, so the swamp cooler works just fine.

Been in the low 90s during the day, upper 60s at night

But the cliche is true; "it's a dry heat." Not nearly as uncomfortable as similar temperatures in the northeast. I don't mind it at all.
