How do yu to cut and paste an image to wordpad?

Hi!

I would like to make a one page flyer(brochure) with
a picture and text. How do I cut and paste an image
to my wordpad? And can I type on top of the image
once I transfer to wordpad?

I use OPEN OFFICE from http://www.openoffice.org so I've never learned if this is possible with wordpad.
