How do you set up a Dual Boot system

How can I set up a dual boot system so I can use the computer for work and play without either interfering with the other.

it's pretty simple. Install the OSes from oldest to newest.

Thank you for the reply but I'm still in the dark. What do you mean by install the OSes (Operating systems?) I have Windows XP, so will it work with an older and a newer version of XP, and do I install on the same Hard drive or separate ones?

Be sure you have enough empty disk space to install the second copy on its own partition. Then the boot.ini from the first lets you choose (but might need manual editing to do so).
