Question

How do you save most apps to your SD card & free up memory?

Jul 19, 2011 3:29AM PDT

Hello, So I have a Android Droid Incredible. I seem to be constantly running low on Memory. So it stops text messaging and I can't download additional apps. I am constantly deleting stuff. I get a "not enough memory" error. I have a 16GB SD card in the phone with over 10 GB free, but yet I cannot download 22 MB Age of Zombies...!!! I also have ZDbox installed (great app) but very few apps are installed on or can be moved to the SD card.

Will check the links out. Can Google fix this?

I will certainly check the links out and let you know if they worked. I think CNET should send Google notes to fix this issue on upcoming versions of Android (and existing ones also). Not sure if this was fixed in Gingerbread as I am not able to upgrade yet. And it is to their advantage to allow Android phones user to get rid of this limitation or the need for a 3 party fix. What is the use of thousands of Apps if you are restricted on installing them due to phone memory or need to go through a cumbersome process to bypass the system?

Good thoughts BUT these are not PC's.

Most of the time I find folk thinking of the phones and pads as if they are PCs. They are not and they do have limitations.

I am actively porting some old apps to Android and see this a lot. There are many other issues for those that install some hundred apps. Just scrolling the list is nothing short of amazing.
