"I'm trying to set up my network adapter and I have comcast"

Does this mean you are trying to install a network adapter or trying to configure your internet connection?

"Or have a walkthrough or something!"

What does the ISP recommend?

Sk8gamer, We Need More Info
by Grif Thomas Forum moderator / February 29, 2004 3:11 AM PST

Whenever posting questions on these forums, please give us as much information as possible about your computer. We need the operating system, processor speed, amount of RAM installed, brand name of the computer, (if there is one), and any EXACT error messages you are receiving, plus any other pertinent information you think might be helpful. Are you using a firewall? The more information you give us, the better informed our answer will be.

To find your IP address, while on the internet:

Windows 2000/XP.

1. Click on Start-Run, type "cmd" (without the quotes), click on OK.
2. At the flashing cursor, type "ipconfig" (without the quotes), press the "Enter" key.

Windows 9.x/ME:

1. Click on Start-Run, type "winipcfg" (without the quotes), click on OK.

Hope this helps.
