How do you do dual boot Ubuntu and Windows 7?

How can i dual boot windows 7 and Linux. Can i just create a disk
partition and install Linux on that and have windows on another
partition and will i be able to choose which one i want on boot? or do i
have to do something else i have windows installed right now
