How do you create ringtones from mp3 for this phone?

by phatjd / February 8, 2006 11:47 AM PST

Anyone have any idea how to create ringtones from your own personal mp3 collection for use on the motorola v360? I've read in other posts that if you change the file extention to .3pg it will work. No luck for me though. Any help is appreciated.

I don't know what type of computer you have, but there are lots of converters that can work from CDs to mp3s. Go to any software download site (like the one attached to this website) and do a search.

that's very true with converting cd to mp3. But that's not the issue. I'm particularly wondering how to transfer and convert an already created mp3 to the phone. It doesn't seem like it's as easy as copying the file directly to the audio folder of the phone. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

I've got the same phone, and have the answer!

I've been playing with this same issue for a few days now and I've figured it out....and belive me it so easy I should have had it on day one! All that you have to do is put the MP3 onto your micro SD card then go into sounds, switch storage device to the micro SD card, locate your file and copy it over to the phone, switch storage back over to the phone, locate your MP3 and set it as your ringtone! Hope this helps ya!

That was exactly what i was looking for. I knew there had to be a way to use my own ringtones without paying $1.99+ each for songs i already owned. Thanks again.

I have a v360, Motorola phone tools lets you clip mp3s down to a reasonable length and send them to your phone. It also lets you send clip and send pictures to your phone.

I've not heard about this. Is phone tools a software package already on the phone or something to download off the internet? Thanks.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
