On my desk I see Ritek, PalmOne, Sandisk and some no-names. I have this Kingston 2GB I found for under 49 bucks and in the mail will be some 4GB that I don't know the name of for under 90 bucks.
In my case it's just the price. I tried some high-speed SD cards and in my cameras and PDAs it didn't show any payback.
So I just go by price.
Go figure?

Hello All,
So I am not a newbie for flash meory type of card. I have been using xD card for more than 2.5 years now but never had problems with it. That time only Fujifilm and Olympus used to sell xD card so never had an issue about manufacturer /brand reputation.
Now I am going to buy SD card and there are so so so many brands with such varied prices that I am totally confused which one I should go for. These brands like A-data, Ritek, PNY, Patriot are selling 1GB card upto USD 26 whereas brands like Sandisk, Kensington are expensive.
I tried to check on SD Association website if they are part of SD manufacturing forum so they are.
Now I start wondering if I should really pay more money for Sandisk or it shouldn't be a big issue if I buy say Ritek. I checked customer reviews as well but as for most of the products, few are happy, few are unhappy!!
Any help with this brand selection please?
