how do u recover lost contacts from iPhone 5?

Some of my contacts have disappeared from my iPhone 5c. I haven't made any backup and contents of those contacts are very important to me. How can I restore or at least access some of my lost contacts?

(My iPhone 5c isn't jail broken and I don't install any games or any apps on it)

Double check

Check your iCloud files and see whether your contacts are there or not.

"contents of those contacts are very important to me"

Obviously not!

As mentioned already, the Cloud is probably the only place that you "might" find the missing contacts.

Still expensive to recover data

The last time I had to have someone recover contents of a largish damaged hard drive, it was in the neighborhood of $1600-1800 USD. Some companies may offer data recovery from flash based memory, such as what's under the hood of the iPhone/etc. Won't be cheap.

By all means start creating those automatic iCloud backups. That decision will pay for itself later on....

It's not an ideal choice to get to the local repair store unless the data is much valuable to the repair price. I did a research on Google and found out there are a hand of data recovery programs specifically for iPhone. Why not have a try? I tested the trial version of an app and what a surprise! It's capable of finding the deleted photos and text messages. Check out this tutorial to have a try, at least it's a free. The only cost is that you have to wait a few minutes to let the app finish scanning.

agree with you.

I agree with you,I can't accept that price, i can't be affordable for it!

Re: too expensive

That's why people backup things they don't want to lose.

Good grief

Who said anything about the local repair store? <sheesh>

I am talking about licensed, bonded data recovery firms in large metropolitan areas.

Quite often you get what you pay for, if you need serious data recovery. Of course that's not affordable by all.

Re: recover

There are many programs that claim they can recover data from an iPhone. Worth a try. But only pay if the trial mode shows it works for the data you lost.

Need Some Recovery

Go to www.icloud.com to see if the contacts are stored in the cloud base, if not, the only workaround is to use some recovery tools. However, most of them are not free. But you can download the free trail to scan your iPhone 5 and check out whether the disappeared contacts can be scanned. Don't buy any recovery tools if the contacts cannot be scanned.
