How do Plasma HDTV perform with digital (non-HD) signal?

by panmg / March 26, 2006 12:47 PM PST

I have seen and heard a lot of good things about the HD picture quality but I don't know how these HD plasma TVs perform with the non-HD or analog signal? On this topic, is there any difference among different brands? I am intersted in buying a Panasonic TH-50PHD8UK or TH-50PX60U but before spending over $3000 I would like to know if watching a normal channel on these TVs is at least as good as on a normal TV?

Here in the bay area I have found that all over the air channels are broadcasting in either digital or hi-def and with a outside antenna they all look awsome, As far as anolog goes I think you will be happy at least you wont have to see all those nasty scan lines good luck stewart

Digital non-HD signal
by panmg / March 27, 2006 12:02 PM PST

Thanks Stewart. Yes the Panny TH-50PX60U has a built-in HD tuner. Does that make a difference regarding the quality of the picture from digital non-HD signal?

By the way, is there a significant difference bewteen the quality of a picture (digital non-HD) from Cable or Satelite?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
