How do Plasma HDTV perform with digital (non-HD) signal?

Mar 26, 2006 12:47PM PST

I have seen and heard a lot of good things about the HD picture quality but I don't know how these HD plasma TVs perform with the non-HD or analog signal? On this topic, is there any difference among different brands? I am intersted in buying a Panasonic TH-50PHD8UK or TH-50PX60U but before spending over $3000 I would like to know if watching a normal channel on these TVs is at least as good as on a normal TV?

Thanks
Shawn

Digital non-HD signal
Mar 27, 2006 12:02PM PST

Thanks Stewart. Yes the Panny TH-50PX60U has a built-in HD tuner. Does that make a difference regarding the quality of the picture from digital non-HD signal?

By the way, is there a significant difference bewteen the quality of a picture (digital non-HD) from Cable or Satelite?
