How do I watch my DVD player through my Comcast settop box?

Sep 14, 2008 10:53AM PDT

I have hooked up my DVD player (Philips DVP1013) to the Comcast DVR box - because my TV is too old and does not have any place to input audio or video.

Question: How do do I watch the dvd player through though the settop box? The TV/DVD button does not do anything, plus the DVD player is not hooked in directly to the TV.

Any suggestions? Is there a channel to set to? Or am I having a blonde moment?

Thank much for your help, I just got a couple movies I'd like to watch tonight.

First Suggestion: Buy a new TV, it's time.
Second Suggestion: Buy an RF Modulator so you CAN hook up a DVD player to your current TV without the cable box. If you hurry, I bet Fred Meyer is still open; they have those for ~$30
