How do I transfer my video from a Camcorder to my computer

I'm using a camcorder Panasonic - PV-GS32, is there anybody can help to tell me how i can tranfer video recorded from this camcorder to the computer? and what software or capture card are needed?

Firewire cable and WINDV.

WINDV from google.com is free, so connect the cable and transfer.

How about the USB port? The PV-GS32 has both ports (Firewire and USB).
Is there any utility like WinDV that allow us to download the movie?

USB is not a standard plus it transfers on most camcorders at a low resolution. WINDV works since firewire transfers were standardized.

...And Bob is correct. Use Firewire. That camera gives you the option of using a memory card, which is used for capturing digital still images. After you shoot some still images, you would then use the USB to transfer these images to your computer. Firewire is the way to go to transfer DV video. Geez, now that Macs come with Intel chips, I wish PCs would come standard with Firewire ports like the Macs do. Don't the two sides of computer manufacturing ever learn from eachother?
