How do I tranfer cancorder to compute using firewire to USB

I just bought a new lenovo PC tower. i have a Sony handyCam which used an 8mm tape to record on. I want to transfer the movies on the tape to my computer so I can download it to a DVD. My problem is that the camcorder only has a firewire port and the red, yellow and white ports. (no USB). The new computer does not have a firewire port. how do I hook up the 2 devices?

PC TOWER means we can add firewire.

Such things may not align perfectly.

In many clones I have to look at the PCI slot and see if it is off to the left or right a little. Try again.
