how do I tell if my cellphone is triband or quadband?

i have an older razor v3xx.
How can I check to see if it is tri or quad band?

Mine is American version.
Problem is, I see v3xx phones advertized on sites like ebay that say they are quadband. is that even possible?

Keep in mind that some of those ads included the 2100 Mhz UMTS frequency (which is used for data only, not for voice). A truely quad band phone has 850/900/1800/1900 mhz frequencies. Whithout all 4 of those bands, it is only tri-band (voice) and without all 4 bands it may not work in some areas worldwide.

FWIW, many if not most Motorola RAZR models of late...

...contain the hardware radio for the fourth frequency band under the hood- it's just not active.
