Unless you good at taking things apart and putting them back together you could do more harm than good. Even if there are screws most printers have plastic snaps that can be tricky to release without breaking them. If your
printer is still under warrenty you could void it.
So you may want to check out what it wold cost to have it serviced before tring it yourself. John
I have a Lexmark X83 and think its ok for home use but the other day my kids fed it with inferior paper and it got jammed. I managed to get the paper out through the back but now when it goes to suck paper in for a print it only goes so far and makes a horrible crunching sound.
I did also find a "foreign" body in the back which must have dropped into it whilst I wasn't looking (more like the kids put it in there or left it loafing!!). So I want to take it apart to see if there is anything else in there that shouldn't that is blocking the paper feed path and stops it getting pulled through when printing.
I have found two screws at the back but that doesn't seem to do anything when you take them out. It looks as though you could pull it apart but something is stopping it.
Anyone help?
