Hi : I went to a web site, and Trojan.Ransomlock.G followed me home. I have Norton Internet and it is keeping the virus from getting into my computer. How can I send it away? Maybe the solution is to get a new email address?
TIA, Grailpa

Hi Dafydd:
I can't be 100% sure I did not get this through email. Probably not. I run Spy Hunter daily, sometimes twice a day. Norton Internet Security just finished a total scan, and found no viruses. I followed the link you sent, and it took me to where I was earlier today.
My next step will be to contact Norton to see if they have a solution. Norton is continuously blocking this virus from entering my computer.
I was hoping there would be an easy fix.
Regards, Grailpa
And today we get a lot of spammers trying to get posts selling that old thing. It was a rogue and while they claim to have cleaned up their act the jury is still out.
I think you just explained a lot of the problem.

Below is a quote from a prior post. There are more just like it.
Read on ..........
"Not long ago I had cause to post about SpyHunter, as I feel I do now. Within my post I referenced a post titled ""i can't uninstall spyhunter NO MATTER WHAT"
As already noted in the above-referenced post, it includes (in part) a quote from a moderator at BleepingComputer .....
'Newer versions of SpyHunter apparently installs it's own "Compact OS" and uses Grub4Dos loader to execute on boot up. The user no longer sees the normal Windows boot menu but instead sees the GRUB menu. For some folks this has resulted in SpyHunter causing a continuous loop when attempting to boot."
"When searching for unfamiliar or unknown malware on the Internet, it is not unusual to find numerous hits from untrustworthy and scam sites which misclassify detections or provide misleading information. This is deliberately done more as a scam to entice folks into buying an advertised fix or using a free removal tool. SpyHunter (SpyHunter-Installer.exe) is one of the most common "so-called" removal tools pushed by these sites."
I now see a different thread at the same forum, created by a user who is also using a Norton product. It's titled "Spyhunter caused my computer to crash!"
Another reason and the last I'll cite. Read "SpyHunter ad campaign an enigma"

Grailpa, the above was posted in response to a member with a different problem. However, the information about SpyHunter remains the same.
Best of luck..
