How do i set up my Nexus One to make voip calls?

by fstrdnu / November 28, 2011 10:00 AM PST

I have had the Nexus One since it came out. I love it and still haven't had spring fever to make me want to replace it. When T-Mo finally gets the Nexus Whatever, i suppose I will finally upgrade. Until then I have never done my homework about setting it up with my Google Voice to make wifi calls. How do I set up my phone to make internet calls?

I installed Skype a while ago. Do I have to mess with VPN or SIP? It said my phone does not have an internet calling account. Username/Password/Server? I don't know how to set this up.

Here all I needed to do was input my Skype name and password. It was that simple.

No setting up of VPN, SIP or answering what server to use.

Then again you may be thinking of "real" VOIP and not the VOIP many folk use.

I'll give that a shot. Hopefully it's more simple than I've been trying to make it out to be.
