Resolved Question

how do I search "only" Mac OSX forum

Apr 24, 2012 6:56AM PDT

The search bar at the top right of the page seems to search all of CNET, as opposed to whichever forum I'm in.

I'm a newbie on this forum so be patient.

Try this.

If you haven't tried it already, try this.

Enter your search term in the "Search CNET" box above and press Enter. In the new page, use the filters in the left hand column to filter your search down to just the Mac OSX forum.

Examples, if I search for PC with Mac OS? I get this
http://forums.cnet.com/1770-5_102-0.html?query=PC+with+Mac+OS%3F+&tag=srch&searchtype=forums

If I then click the filter for Mac OSX in the left hand column I get this;
http://forums.cnet.com/1770-5_102-0.html?query=PC+with+Mac+OS%3F&searchtype=forums&rpp=10&forumName=%22Mac+OS+X%22&tag=pe-searchFacetsTile;collapsefacetList

Does that help?

It may be possible to use a crafty google search but for now, no such search is here.
