How do I search for external-mike-input camcorders?

I've been trying to figure out how to search for HDD and Mini-DV camcorders that have external microphone inputs, but I can't figure out how to do such a search. On CNET, searching by microphone only gets you two choices: Stereo and Surround Sound. Can you help me figure out how to search for just HDD and Mini-DV camcorders (both standard and HD) which allow for external microphone audio to be plugged in? It's a total pain to open and read each and every spec sheet to try to sort this out.
